Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Communication access in Gaza has again been completely paralyzed. This was revealed by two local telecommunications service providers, Paltel and Jawal.
The second confirmed that residents in Gaza experienced total disruption of communication access, both via the internet and traditional telecommunications networks.
This is the second time communication access has been cut off in the Gaza Strip in the last 5 days. Previously, when Israeli bombardment was relentless from the air and land on Friday (27/10) last week, the communications network was also completely paralyzed.
However, after repairs were carried out, telecommunications access gradually improved on Sunday (29/10). Now, only a few days later, communication has been lost again.
A flood of Israeli air strikes on Tuesday (31/10) yesterday on a refugee camp near Gaza destroyed apartment buildings. Meanwhile, Israeli troops are fighting Hamas militants in northern Gaza via land routes, quoted from AFPWednesday (1/11/2023).
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected calls for a ceasefire. Although more than half of Palestinians in Gaza have fled their homes, several hundred thousand people remain in the north, where Israeli troops and tanks have reportedly advanced in various corners of Gaza.
According to data from the Gaza Ministry of Health, currently 8,525 Palestinians have died as a result of repeated Israeli attacks. On the West bank, more than 122 Palestinians have been killed.
In the Hamas surprise attack last October 7 that started this war, 1,400 Israeli civilians died. Around 240 Israeli citizens were taken hostage by the militant group.
