Yashwa Romeo is back in the fold after accepting a new position in the Abingdon United North Combined Counties League Premier Division.
Having recently spent several seasons in the Southern League as First Team manager at Thatcham Town, Romeo will become Assistant Manager to Jules McCalmon at Northcourt Road. McCalmon is a former Abingdon player and was appointed first team manager at the start of September.
In a statement, the club said: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Yashwa Romeo as our new First Team Assistant Manager.
“He featured for United as a player with the likes of Maidenhead United, Slough Town and Oxford City before most recently taking charge of Thatcham Town as manager.”
The club also confirmed Aaron Woodley’s Pablo Haysham will combine their playing role with coaching duties.
Romeo wrote on social media: “It feels great to be back at one of my old haunts, refreshed and ready to work.”
