Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The 2024 Christmas and New Year holidays are only a few weeks away. Thus, it is normal for Indonesian people to start planning holiday agendas to enjoy the end of the year with friends or family, including trips abroad.
Usually, going abroad is the choice because travelers want to experience a new atmosphere, different seasons, discover things that are not available in Indonesia, and get to know the culture of the destination country.
Before traveling abroad, there are several requirements that prospective travelers must fulfill, namely visa and passport.
A visa is a permit document issued by a destination country for someone who wants to enter a country. Meanwhile, a passport is a travel document issued by the holder’s home country and recognized internationally.
Arranging for a visa is a problem for a number of people because it is not guaranteed that they will be accepted, even though processing it takes a lot of time, energy and money.
Therefore, it is not uncommon for travelers to decide to vacation in countries that do not require visas for Indonesian citizens (WNI).
According to the Henley Passport Index, there are 76 countries that waive visas or only require a Visa on Arrival or eTA (Electronic Travel Authority) for tourists from Indonesia. So, which countries can you visit without a visa? Here’s the list.
