‘Bare Bones’ Slough Town Break FA FA Deadlock

It took 79 minutes at Arbor Park on Tuesday night, but Slough Town finally found the way to pass the stubborn Welling United in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup.

Wiktor Makowski got the last touch after a substitute for Nnaemeka Anyanwu to arrive in the penalty area, delivering in front of the goal that allows Makowski to sweep home.

The goal finally violated 10 Welling resistance after a 1-1 draw in Southeast London on Saturday with Davies admitted to the official rebel website, the match was a potential banana skin for the National League South Side: “Maybe one of our best wins as a group in the last three years.

“This is a very, very difficult cup tie, it is almost a banana peel in many ways,” he added.

Rebels will play Bedfont sports from the South Central Division Division Division of the One Division in the third qualifying round of the FA Cup, two divisions below and other potential banana peels for the Davies team.
