Earlier this summer, Sky Florian Plettenberg reporter reported that Mitoma had been identified by Arsenal Sports Director Andrea Berta, as a potential alternative to the signing of Real Madrid – The Gunners’ ‘Dream’.
But according to a new report from Sky Sports, Mitoma has moved to convince the Brighton hierarchy, he remains fully committed to the Fabian Hurzeller project – and Japanese international players want to write paper on a new contract.
Claimed a platform to meet with Mitoma to discuss ‘better requirements and extension’ in time.
The current mitoma agreement on the southern coast will end in June 2027.
Speaking to Sky Sports, head coach Brighton Hurzeller said he was’ looking forward to meeting with Mitoma again for pre-season training this week.
“Of course, we tried to look after our best players and I thought Mitoma played great last season,” said Germany.
‘But that is only because we as clubs work together and then you can shine as individuals.
“I think that’s the most important thing, that all players try to understand that and Mitoma understands it last season.
“I am very waiting for seeing him again tomorrow and that’s the plan.”
Hurzeler has no doubt that Mitoma will continue to play the role of ‘important’ in the future for seagulls.
“We can’t wait to work with him, continue to work with him, trying to fix it, because I still think the limits have not been achieved,” he added.
“That’s our job, his job, it is everyone’s job at the club to get the best potential from the players and that’s what we are looking for in the pre-season.
“I’m sure he will be an important part of us.”
