GOALKEEPER

5 clean sheet is the area where Newcastle United is Nick Pope (£5.1m) is ahead of the others. Despite having a low number of save points (four), he is also the only goalkeeper to record one assist, so he has now collected 41 assists.
7 save points are the most shared, shared by Robin Roefs (£4.6 million) and Martin Dubravka (£4.0 million). With six bonus points and two double-digit scores, Roefs sits tied with Pope on 41 points.
82.8% is the second combined proportion of shots on target saved by those who have played more than once. Roef and William Vicar (£5.1m) both can boast of this, plus the Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper is also second in terms of expected goals (xG) prevented (+2.80).
DEFENDER

48 overall points are entered Jurrien Wood (£5.9m) ahead of all other defenders. On four counterattacks, the same as El Hadji Malick Diouf (£4.4m), the Arsenal full-back is the position leader for shots on target (five), surpassing Gameweek 2’s massive 24 versus Leeds United.
The Gunners not only have the best back line – more on that later – but also Timber and his teammates Riccardo Calafuri (£5.7m) dominates many defensive statistics. The Italian is number one in terms of shots (14), as the pair are well ahead of everyone else in terms of xG, share the most returns (seven) and are the only two players to make multiple figures.

Calafiori is the second biggest xG underachiever (-0.83).
9 shots in the penalty area belong to both and Daniel Munoz (£5.6m), where no other defender is more than six.
Seven of the Colombian’s total came in his last three games, with his recent goal at Everton earning him second place in attempts (10) and shots on target (four). He and Calafiori are the best in terms of touches in the box (26).
0.76 xG is quite good for Wolverhampton Wanderers Ladislav Krejci (£4.5m), knowing he has only been around since Gameweek 4. Used as a defensive midfielder and centre-back, the 26-year-old is already scoring goals and is top in attempts on target (three).
We picked him in the last game because Sunderland (a) and Burnley (h) were the next teams. New colleague Hugo Bueno (£4.4m) determines the rate of successful crosses this position (13).
11 – At least knocked out by Bueno in that area Kieran Trippier (£5.0m) beat him in the number of chances created. That’s impressive, considering how low his minutes played are. Maybe it’s the injury Tino Livramento (£5.0 million) and Lewis Hall (£5.3m) will lock the set-piece player into Newcastle’s backline for a bit – which is watertight.
88 defensive contribution measures (DefCon) have been taken Mark Senesi (£5.0 million). It’s almost out Joachim Andersen (£4.5 million) and James Tarkowski (£5.5m), although they together collected 12 points from the new FPL rules.
Typically, the Game Week where most people buy Senesi is when his 100% prize streak ends.
