Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia- Member of Commission VII DPR RI, Mulyanto, revealed that there are a number of challenges related to the development of nuclear plants in Indonesia.
Mulyanto said that Indonesia has potential sources of nuclear fuel in Babylon, Kalimantan and Papua. However, currently there has been no exploration of incentives related to this unclear potential while BATAN has been disbanded.
Therefore, for Commission VII to realize a nuclear plant, the government must complete regulations, consolidate human resources and form a Nuclear Energy Program Implementation Organization (NEPIO).
What are the challenges and prospects for Indonesia to develop nuclear power plants?
