This Yogyakarta Resident Is Willing to Spend IDR 23 Million for Coldplay Lifestyle – 11 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ Jakarta concert at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium, Wednesday (15/11/2023) is only two hours away. The audience looked even more enthusiastic to watch the performance of Chris Martin et al.

Since the initial announcement, Coldplay’s first concert in Indonesia was greeted very enthusiastically by music lovers in the country, including from outside the Jabodetabek area. In fact, some of them are willing to spend tens of millions for this British band.

Elvi is one of the viewers from Yogyakarta who is willing to spend tens of millions to make her dream of watching Coldplay come true. Wearing clothes that match her family, this Philosophy student looked very cheerful since 16.00 WIB.

“Willing to come all the way from Jogja because we really like Coldplay, especially since they rarely have concerts in Indonesia. So, this is like a golden time for us to watch,” said Elvi to CNBC Indonesia at GBK, Wednesday (15/11 /2023).

This woman, who has been a fan of Coldplay since 2017, admitted that she was willing to spend a total of around IDR 23 million to watch this concert, including ticket costs, two nights’ accommodation at the Santika Premiere Hotel Slipi, West Jakarta, and transportation.

“The total budget that has been spent so far is around IDR 23 million, including the cost of staying at the Santika Slipi Hotel as well,” said Elvi.

Apart from having the experience of watching live, Elvi also used Coldplay’s performance as an opportunity to spend quality time with her partner and parents. Thus, he fought during the ‘war’ in May 2023 to get four tickets.

In trying to get Coldplay concert tickets today, Elvi is not fighting alone. He also asked for help from his partner, parents and four other friends to join the ticket sales war.

“Actually, I was warring with other friends on campus. Coincidentally, I was the one who got it. I’m really grateful, really, to the UGM (Gadjah Mada University) Philosophy wifi,” said Elvi while laughing.

“Thanks to UGM wifi, my ticket war went really smoothly, and I got a ticket as expected too, CAT 2,” he continued in an enthusiastic tone.

Meanwhile, Elvi’s parents admitted that they were enthusiastic about watching Coldplay’s live performance even though it was only to accompany their child.

“I just came here to accompany you. Yesterday I think I spent IDR 16 million on tickets,” said Elvi’s parents.

Elvi and her partner, Gabriel, admit that they are really looking forward to singing the song A Sky Full of Stars with Coldplay. Because, this moment is the most viral and considered the most memorable on TikTok social media.

“The song A Sky Full of Stars has always been used for promotions [konser ini] keeps ringing. “Moreover, it keeps going on, right, on TikTok, so I really want to feel it,” said Gabriel.

For information, Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ Jakarta concert will be opened by a performance by local musician, Rahmania Astrini. The appearance of Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland and Will Champion will start at 21.00 WIB.
