Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Singer from the United States (US), Britney Spears, shocked the internet after revealing that she had aborted Justin Timberlake’s child while they were still dating in the early 2000s.
This secret confession was revealed in a memoir book Spears, The Women in Me.
Launching from People, the only person who knew about Spears’ pregnancy was her former assistant, Felicia Culotta. Spears admitted that none of her family members even knew that she was pregnant.
“I don’t want anyone to know about pregnancy or abortion. This means everything has to be done at home,” said Spears, quoted Friday (27/10/2023).
“In fact, we didn’t even tell my own family. The only person who knew besides Justin and me was Felicia, the person who always helped me and said ‘Keeping all this a secret might hurt, but I’ll be fine’,” continued Spears.

Through this memoir, Spears revealed the process of having an abortion carried out at home. At that time, there were only Spears, Justin, and Cullota at home. During the abortion process, the singer of the song “Toxic” admitted to taking special abortion pills.
“On the appointed day, I took that little pill. Not long after, I experienced excruciating cramps. I stayed in the bathroom for hours, lying on the floor, crying and screaming,” explained Spears.
According to him, Timberlake, who was at home at the time, tried to entertain himself by going into the bathroom and lying on the floor.
“At one point, Timberlake thought maybe music could help. So, he grabbed a guitar and lay down with me while strumming,” Spears said.
Previously, the female singer who was born on December 2 1981 revealed that she was pregnant with Timberlake’s child. However, Timberlake was not happy with Spears’ pregnancy, which resulted in an abortion.
“Justin was clearly not happy with my pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives because we were too young,” she said.
If she had her own choice, Spears admitted that she would still choose to continue her pregnancy.
“To this day, it (abortion) is one of the most painful events I have ever experienced in my life,” said Spears.
According to reports Peopleuntil now Timberlake’s representatives have not provided any response regarding the issue of Spears’ abortion.
