Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Throughout August, loan companies distributed trillions of rupiah to Indonesian citizens. Apparently, the company peer-to-peer lending with the largest disbursement of funds is the subsidiary Shopee.

The 2023-2028 Information Technology-Based Joint Funding Services Roadmap released by the OJK revealed the 10 loan companies with the largest distribution of funds in August 2023.

The growth in loans disbursed by the Pinjol platform, which OJK calls LPBBTI, has continued to increase since 2018. In December 2022, for example, the growth in loans disbursed by Pinjol rose 71.09 percent. Accumulated funding via loan as of August 2023 reached IDR 677.51 trillion with outstanding funding of IDR 53.12 trillion.


However, the majority of loans were channeled to the non-productive sector, namely 60.95 percent of total loans in August 2023. The largest financing to the MSME sector was also still low, namely 36.52 percent of total loans in August 2023.

Based on OJK data, the loan company with the largest distribution of funds in the August 2023 period is PT Lentera Dana Nusantara.

Lentera Dana Nusatara is a provider of loan products for Shopee users called SPinjam. Throughout August 2023, Lentera Dana Nusatara disbursed IDR 4.43 trillion.
