International Hard! Erdogan Attacks Israel, Labels Terrorist Country News – 11 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reiterated his opposition to Israel’s military action in Gaza, Palestine. According to him, the action was a terrorist act.

Israeli attacks are still continuing in Gaza. The attack was launched by Tel Aviv in revenge for the attack by the Palestinian militant group, Hamas, on its territory on October 7.

So far, Israel’s attacks on Gaza have killed 11,320 people and this figure is expected to continue to rise along with the Tel Aviv military’s attack on Al Shifa Hospital. It is known that on October 7, 1,400 Israelis were killed due to Hamas attacks.

Israel also cut off the logistics, internet, electricity and water blockade to Gaza, under the pretext of putting pressure on Hamas. This has had an impact on the lives of civilians, especially in health-related activities due to a lack of logistical supplies while casualties are increasing.

Reflecting on this situation, Erdogan emphasized in front of the Turkish Parliament that Israel is a “terror state” that commits war crimes and violates international law in Gaza. He also repeated his statement that the Palestinian militant group Hamas is not an organization but a political party chosen by citizens.

“I clearly say here: Israel is a terrorist state,” Erdogan said as quoted by Daily Sabah, Wednesday (15/11/2023).

“Turkey will work on the international stage to ensure that Israeli settlers are recognized as terrorists.”

Erdogan also asked Israeli Prime Minister (PM) Benjamin Netanyahu to announce whether Israel has a nuclear bomb or not. He added that the Israeli leader had finished his term of office.

“The end is near, whether you have nuclear weapons or not,” Erdogan said, to loud applause from his supporters.

Türkiye has withdrawn its diplomats from Israel. This was a response after Israel launched an attack on Gaza.

Israel has never said publicly whether it has nuclear weapons. However, a junior minister in Netanyahu’s government stated that dropping nuclear weapons on the Gaza Strip was an option.

Meanwhile, Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca was in Cairo on Wednesday, meeting with Egyptian Health Minister Abdel Ghaffar to discuss aid supplies to Gaza. The two also discussed the possibility of transferring some patients to Türkiye.
