Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The implementation of the Standard Inpatient Class (KRIS) policy is still awaiting a decision from the government. This was stated by the Main Director of BPJS Health, Ali Ghufron Mukti.
“BPJS follows the policy. Until now, the policy is still the same as before. For those in class 3, that’s class, class 2 is still in class 2 and so on,” said Ali in the discussion “Transforming the Quality of JKN Services, Making JKN Services Sustainable,” quoted on Saturday. (4/11/2023).
He explained that his party was also still waiting for the results of the development of trials being carried out by the government in several hospitals.
“So BPJS is waiting. Because it is currently testing, we are waiting to see what the policy will be,” he said.
Just a reminder, the government plans to replace BPJS Health contribution classes 1, 2 and 3 with the National Health Insurance Standard Inpatient Class system (KRIS JKN). Later, the new system, which will come into effect on January 1 2025, will focus on improvements in beds. From what used to be six in one inpatient room, it became four beds in one inpatient room.
