Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – PT Pertamina (Persero) President Commissioner Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok revealed that Rosan P. Roeslani had submitted a letter of resignation as Deputy President Commissioner of Pertamina.
Ahok said that Rosan’s resignation letter had been submitted this morning, Wednesday (25/10/2023).
“He has submitted a letter of resignation as Deputy Commissioner of Pertamina, this morning he received the letter,” said Ahok to CNBC Indonesia, Wednesday (25/10/2023).
Rosan’s resignation letter which was submitted this morning coincided with the Declaration of Presidential Candidate (Capres) Prabowo Subianto and Vice Presidential Candidate (Cawapres) Gibran Rakabuming Raka at the Indonesia Arena, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (25/10/2023).
In this declaration, Presidential Candidate Prabowo Subianto revealed that Rosan P. Roeslani was the Chair of the Advanced Indonesia National Campaign Team.
“My respect is Mr. Rosan Roeslani, Chair of the Advanced Indonesia National Campaign Team,” said Prabowo, Wednesday (25/10/2023).
Ahead of Rosan’s announcement as Chair of the Prabowo-Gibran Campaign Team, it turned out that Rosan had also submitted his resignation as Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
This was conveyed by Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana, Wednesday (25/10/2023).
According to Ari, Rosan was officially honorably dismissed through a presidential decree dated October 25 2023. Previously, Rosan had submitted a request to resign as Deputy Minister of BUMN effective October 24 2023.
As is known, Rosan P. Roeslani was only appointed as Deputy Main Commissioner of Pertamina for three months, to be precise on July 27 2023.
Rosan’s position as Deputy Main Commissioner of Pertamina replaces Pahala Mansury who has now been appointed as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (Wamenlu).
Before accompanying Erick Thohir at the Ministry of BUMN, the 54 year old businessman was previously the 21st Indonesian Ambassador to the US and in Washington DC and started serving in December 2021.
Long before that, Rosan served as General Chair of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) for the 2015-2021 period.
