Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Sam Bankman-Fried trial is coming to an end. The FTX boss was found guilty and sentenced to 115 years in prison.
The court charged him with a series of crimes related to FTX and another company he owned, Alameda Research. Even so, Bankman-Fried admitted he was not guilty of all the accusations leveled against him.
The jury found Bankman-Fried guilty of seven felonies, including electronic transaction fraud and money laundering.
According to the jury, Bankman-Fried deliberately used customer funds belonging to FTX. He used the money to buy luxury property, invest in other startups, pay sponsors, political donations, and cover losses at Alameda Research.
