WhatsApp Web Error
WhatsApp web is another option to access the instant messaging platform. Usually users use it while working or doing something on a laptop, so there is no need to bother opening the cellphone at the same time.
However, WhatsApp Web sometimes has problems. For example, an error appears so that the user experiences difficulty when they want to access it.
But there are several steps to solve this WhatsApp Web error problem. Here’s how, as quoted from Windows Reports, Wednesday (22/11/2023):
1. Check for Browser Updates
One of the reasons for this problem is that the browser used is still using an old version. So you need to update or update your browser.
Follow these steps to check whether the browser is updated or not:
- Click the menu icon in the top right corner of the browser.
- Click Help and select About Google Chrome.
- Wait for the browser to check for updates automatically.
- If there are, they will be installed, and you will have to restart the browser.
2. Delete Browser Cookies
Another way is to clear Browser Cookies with CCleaner. This is done after startup and before opening the browser. Here are the steps:
– Open browser.
– Click the menu icon in the top right corner of the browser.
– Select More tools, then Clear browsing data.
– Select the Basic tab, then select the Time range from the menu.
– Check options for Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, Cached images and files
– And click the Clear data button.
3. Reset Browser
You also reset or reset the browser. But remember, resetting some browsers will likely return them to their default settings, deleting browser data such as cookies and turning off extensions.
4. Enlarge the WhatsApp Web Page
To access WhatsApp Web, users must scan the QR on the official page. The reason for not being able to access WhatsApp is probably because the QR is unclear and unreadable. So enlarge the page by pressing the Ctrl key and + Hotkey, then rescan the QR.
5. Turn off VPN
Another problem may be the use of a VPN which makes WhatsApp Web difficult to access. So turn off the VPN first before opening WhatsApp in the browser. For Windows 10 and 11 users, you can right-click the VPN software and press the Disconnect option.
