A legendary musician is the newest star who is his home in Los Angeles – with a man arrested after trying to rob the legendary player.
On Saturday morning, Lionel Richie – famous for hits including Easy, All Night Long and Hello – was at home when an intruder tried to get access to his house.
It has been reported by TMZ that the source of the Beverly Hills police department confirmed that the 76 -year -old child’s house was targeted by a suspected thief.
“Officers receive radio calls about housing theft right after midnight in the 90210 environment, where the famous song singers have property, ‘the publication reported.
“Richie was reported at home during the alleged theft, but the alleged culprit was afraid of the security alarm of the Grammy winner and left the house without taking anything.”
A man was arrested for alleged housing theft, but the district lawyer, has not officially submitted a demand. Investigations are still classified as ‘sustainable’.
Publications continue to add that: ‘Investigators are looking into security records and other evidence from the scene.’
The burglary at Richie’s house came after months of living stars in LA had become the target of their home by the thief.
In June, Brad Pitt’s house worth $ 5.5 million (£ 4 million) in the Los Feliz environment was stolen, which occurred when he was in Japan promoting his film F1.
Last week, the police gave an update in the investigation, revealed that they had arrested three people who were also allegedly associated with other theft.
However, the police told NBC LA that the suspects did not seem specifically targeting famous people.
At the end of last month, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Teddi Mellencamp revealed that her house had also been targeted – but the security alarm that had been installed by her husband who wasolated, Edwin Arriave’s Security Company – had succeeded in scaring the thief.
As soon as he shared a security camera footage that showed a group of men climbing the fence and went around on the side of his house in an effort to get the entrance, before panicked running away as the security system departed and began to boom.
Earlier this year, in February, Nicola Kidman and Mansion Beverly Hills Keith Urban were also targeted.
Although an intruder reportedly destroyed the window to get the entrance, a pair employee was in the property at that time and could succeed.
Another unsettling robbery occurred around the same time – with Austin Butler’s house.
The actor was abroad when his security team found that the glass door in his house had been destroyed.
TMZ reported that a security guard found that the place was left damaged after a clear search, and that some items were reported missing, including weapons and money.
According to NBC, the Police Chief LA stated that in March that the number of theft reported in LA in 2024 increased by 4%.
“This happened very quickly,” Head of Dominic Choi told the Police Board of Commissioners about increasing robbery.
“We did not see all the houses searched,” he added.
Metro has contacted representatives for Lionel Richie to comment.
